The UNESCO World Heritage Site of León, Nicaragua, is the Royal and Renowned Basilica Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, more commonly known as the Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary. This historically significant edifice has been recognized by UNESCO as one of Nicaragua's three cultural landmarks, alongside the ruins of León Viejo and El Güegüense.
