The front door of this house looks more like a set for the play "A Thousand and One Nights." As you stand in front of it in hopes that the heroine of the play might still be around. Bam! The door unexpectedly opens and a tourist walks out of the building. The legend goes that when the oil industrialist Mikhail Kalantarov decided to marry an opera singer, she set one condition for him - If you build a house for me where I'd feel I'm inside an Opera, I will marry you. Well, Kalantarov instructed the young and talented architect Gazaros Sarkisian to build such a house. A few years later, the house was built, the young couple got married, had children, and with the birth of every new child, they planted a cypress tree in their garden. Two trees out of six have survived to this day. Residents of the Kalantarov house say that the other four were cut down during the fortification of the neighboring house. The famous house, in addition to the luxurious interior, has a cool attraction - a round outbuilding, which can only be accessed from the courtyard.
