Dohány utca 22, an Art Nouveau gem known as the "Árkád Bazár," once housed Budapest's largest toy store, Késmárky és Illés, on its lower floors. Designed by the Vágó brothers (including József, who also designed part of Geneva's Palace of Nations) in 1908-1909, the building transitioned from a toy haven to a car dealership (until 1946) and later, the swinging Metró Klub in the 1960s. A recent staircase renovation hints at an ongoing revival for this historic building.
