About
I explored the beauties of old buildings when I was a little adolescent. So I studied to be a tour guide then I graduated with a history BA. Later I completed the art history quick BA training. Then I got an art historian MA degree and an art historian PhD degree too. I completed two further programs in the topic of architectural history, namely the London Summer School in England and the Newport Summer School in the USA (both of them were organised by the Victorian Society in America). The main sphere of my research is the architectural art of the 19th century focusing on the so-called historicism (i.e. the neo-styles), the buildings of Budapest, the lifetime work of the Hungarian revivalist architect Vilmos Freund, the hospital architecture and the British Victorian architecture. In 2019 I taught British Victorian architecture for a semester long at Eötvös Loránd (ELTE) University in Budapest. I regularly lead architectural thematic sightseeing tours in Budapest.
