About
Incorporated in early 2001 the Northeast San Francisco Conservancy is a non profit California public benefit corporation formed to “further the conservation, preservation, protection and enhancement of scenic, historical, cultural, and/or recreational values of parks, open spaces and architectural and historical resources, and the maintenance of cultural, economic and social diversity, primarily in the neighborhoods located in the northeast area of the, including Telegraph Hill, North Beach, Jackson Square, Russian Hill, Chinatown, Nob Hill and the Northeast Waterfront.” The Conservancy was formed to fund and oversee worthy neighborhood projects and to protect open spaces, trees and gardens, parks, public vistas and historic resources. It may acquire and hold land or conservation easements as necessary in carrying out its mission.”
