Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church, 906 Broadway at Mason Street, was established in 1875 for Spanish speakers and Italians. The church that was completed in 1880 was destroyed in 1906. A temporary structure was built on the same site by October 1906. This was followed by a new building on the site in 1911 and completed in 1912. (San Francisco Chronicle 1880, 1911, and 1912)
